Match Report

Dunton Dynamos U9 1 - 2 Langdon Pumas U9

Cup match - 16th November 2008; Conditions: Cold and overcast

Manager Justin Keable posted the following report after this game:

"We were hoping that after our success in the 1st our luck might be with us again to see us through round 2."

"Although only having 7 players fit for today’s match, with Rhys (last seasons keeper) back in goal we made a good start in the game keeping Langdon Puma’s away from attacking our goal, and getting us through to half time with a 0 – 0 goal line."

"Langdon Puma’s with their fresh legs came back at us in the early part of the 2nd half with a ball that bounced badly in the goal area and ended up in the net, this was followed some 5 minutes later with a 2nd goal for Langdon Puma’s. We were not finished however and with a great run / strike from Thomas Paul, managed to get ourselves back into contention with a lovely goal. However although we threw all we could into those last six minutes, we could not get that equalizer."

"Personally the team can be proud of what I believe was probably one of our best performances this season, and well done Thomas Sadler for winning man of the match, you made a great effort in controlling that midfield."

"Lets hope we can get put the same effort into our next league game and get some well earned points."

Well played boys and girls - it sounds like you were unlucky not to get a better result. Lets hope this excellent form results in some good league performances in the coming weeks.
