League match - 26th October 2008; Conditions: Dry and bright!

Manager Dave Chesney gave the following account of this game:

"This was a.very tough game against a physically huge team. I think our boys were a bit intimidated by the size of the Aveley team, but put on a good show nonetheless.

This was a very even match with few chances, we could have scored a couple of goals before a breakaway right at the end nearly lost us the match but for a superb save from Sam (our goalie).

Man of the match was A. Groves (pictured right) who did not miss a tackle the whole game."

Against a physically strong team, our U8 side were clearly under pressure to maintain their excellent start to the season. Through hard work and determination, they did just that. Well done again boys on another excellent result! is setting very high standards and is already achieving some excellent results.
