Thurrock Lions U8 2 - 5 Dunton Dynamos U8

League match - 21st September 2008; Conditions: Mild and warm

Manager Dave Chesney said "This was another great performance from the boys with two of our regulars missing. We thought we were going to be up against it today and it was a tight game in the first-half which ended all-square at 2-2. We turned on the style in the second-half and eventually ran out comfortable winners with the final score 5-2."

Goal scorers today were Ethan P (1); Nathan L (2); Ethan draper 1. There was apparently some confusion over who scored the fifth goal but the spectators present agreed it should be shared by Ethan P and Nathan L as it came off both players before going in.

The Man of the match award went to Ethan D (pictured right proudly displaying the medal). By all accounts, he gave a very solid performance and thoroughly deserved the award. That said, the whole team worked very hard and got a well-earned win.

Well done boys - another fantastic performance and an excellent start to the campaign. Let's see if we can get another great result next week!
