League Match - 16th March 2008; Conditions: Cold, wet, miserable!

Our super U7 team faced strong opposition this week against a very strong LTD side. Dave Chesney (Team Manager) had this to say after the game....

"I could not fault the boys today even though we lost against clearly the best side in our league by a long way. They have to my knowledge only conceeded two goals during the entire season - which gives some idea of what we were up against!"

"We kept them pinned back in their own half for long periods but just could not score a goal to give us some confidence. We then got caught on the break twice either side of half-time. We battled for every ball throughout the game and feel the scoreline flatters them somewhat, but as we know in football, you have got to take your chances when they come."

"Well done boys! Playing like we did today against any other team would have seen us clear winners. Keep up the good work."

Never mind boys - we're sure you'll bounce back with a win soon! The conditions were difficult today which never helps - as Dave said, "it was weather best suited to penguins! (freezing cold and wet)"
