Match Report

Linford Wanderers 0 - 17 Dunton Dynamos

League Match - 4th November 2007; Conditions: Perfect: dry and sunny

Dynamos hit an incredible 17 goals this afternoon against new boys Linford. Oscar and Spencer hit 10 goals between them as the blues ran riot. Oscar hit a double hat-trick; more often than not bursting through a poor, sometimes non- existent defence.
Sean scored twice in the first half and made another with a terrific corner for Jack to power home a great header. Jack was the provider for Luke to score from close range following another corner and he linked well with Joe down the left for Spencer to hit his first.

AJ used his strength and persistence to force home the seventh and he provided both Oscar and Spencer with great assists for the eighth and ninth goals soon after.
Spencer showed great skill on the ball to weave his way through for the tenth as the referee blew up for half time, much to Wanderers relief.

After a quite start to the second half, with AJ swapping the keepers gloves with Ross, Curtis followed up to score after Luke had hit the post to continue the onslaught. Oscar showed great control to complete his first hat trick and his next goal was just a few minutes later following a through ball from Jonathan. Confidence oozed through the team and if anything Dynamos were hindered by an inevitable over confidence. Ross turned to score the 16th before Spencer supplied a superb pass for Oscar to complete his second hat trick of the afternoon for the 17th and final goal.

It was terrific goal-scoring display, but it is unlikely that Dynamos will face such a generous defence again this season. Let’s hope that this extra-ordinary win will give the team the impetus to put in some more great performances for the rest of the season.
