Man Of The Match - Harry - Never missed a challenge or clearance

With two of our top players missing in Calum and Ethan we were always going to have to turn in a top performance and the team did not let us down.

The pitch was surprisingly good and the boys lined up kicking against the wind and uphill. Billy was our only sub from the start.

From the off Brandon, Jordan and John were really pushing on towards their goal and several chances were created with nice inter-passing up front and us going close with breaks from defence.

The defence was solid, although the Grays strikers were forcing our defence of Harry, Cameron and George to really concentrate to keep them from breaking through. They were working well at the back helping and covering each other.

Liam is improving in every match in goal and the team throughout the match now rely on his calling and solid performances as our keeper.

Following extreme pressure from an attack in their area with all three forwards involved Brandon laid off a neat pass to John who drilled the ball into the bottom corner for 0-1.

Brandon took a nasty knock midway through the first half and Billy came on and ran up and down the pitch in his efforts to help the team.

Grays pushed for an equaliser but the defence held firm until half-time for 0-1.

Second half - Brandon was back on for Billy who had run his socks off and we were forced to defend as Grays mounted some good attacks with George, Harry and Cameron showing that they could defend under pressure.

Jordan went close with a long range effort and John made way for a recovered Billy who now played centre midfield with good effect.

Brandon broke free from a great goalkick and ran through for an individual effort 2nd goal and we then could relax until the final whistle for a deserved win.

Individual Performances

Liam - Very solid in goal for clean sheet. Goalkicks improved tremendously.

Harry - Never missed hardly any tackles and always alert to the play - MOM.

Cameron - Very controlled and great second half performance.

George - Solid throughout and really showed his super passing.

Billy - Came into the game and battled all over the pitch with winning attitude.

John - Nice tackling and passing, scored 1st goal with great drilled shot to corner.

Jordan - Always threat to the opposition, excellent ball control and corners.
